Over 3 years ago we found the Blackaddie House Hotel by chance on a website. We were unsure of what to expect, however within minutes we fell in love with the hotel. On our first visit Ian and Jane were great hosts and we felt at home straight away. Since then we have visited the hotel on many occasions, each time falling more in love with the place. Everything about the hotel, especially Ian's great food, impressed us enough that we decided to hold our wedding there, even though it was 200 miles from home.

Our wedding weekend could not have been any better starting from our arrivals on the Friday, to our departure on the Sunday. Every step of the way we were assisted by Jane and the team in organising our special day. They planned and managed the day so well we felt at ease and in safe hands. This allowed us to enjoy the day as much as our guests. All weekend the food was first class especially the Wedding Breakfast which was up to Ian's Michelin Star reputation. All our guests commented highly on the superb food and hospitality shown by the hotel. All the staff made everybody welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. 

We would highly recommend the Blackaddie to any couple looking for an intimate setting for their wedding.

This is a wonderful part of the country and there are some great things to do, beautiful places to explore nearby that all help in making Blackaddie the ideal spot for a truly memorable & unique wedding. The type of ceremony is also up to you with all details individually tailored, be it a Civil Ceremony or a Christian Ceremony, either in our local church or at the hotel itself, inside or outside with the river Nith as the backdrop to your perfect day. We can take care of everything from a piper to a chauffeur driven Rolls Royce and everything in between while also providing memorable food throughout your stay.

Our  wedding package includes:

• Sole use of Hotel for your party
• The ceremony (does not include cost of the registrar)
• Flowers for the front hall, stairs & dining room
• Our stunning 4 poster bridal suite and bed & breakfast for up to 22 more people (small children in cots not counted, we can supply travel cots if required).
• Wedding Breakfast on the big day.

The food here at Blackaddie is some of the very best to be found in Scotland and we believe that the menu on your special day should be just as you would like it, sample menus can be provided or we can build the menu around your choices.

When you make the initial enquiry please let us know the date you are thinking of, be it mid week or week-end, how many nights and how many people, we will then put together an initial quote, from there we will discuss your personal requirements and set about writing menus to suit you going into as much detail as possible then we will be able to confirm the price for you.
